Outline of Project:

ICS worked with the Client over multiple years in developing the plan to build a new production facility. Once design was completed ICS then acted as the procurement agent for all electrical distribution equipment. ICS was the process control systems integrator for the SCADA system. The project scope of work also evaluated the new and existing electrical equipment, performed arc flash and coordination studies for the complete electrical system (4160V incoming transformer, switchgear and multiple 480V MCCs) at their production plants and office buildings. ICS completed the plant’s functional testing, startup and commissioning into full operation per the design criteria.

Deliverables:

  • Pre-project estimation of costs associated with the electrical and control systems for the new plant
  • Plant-wide design, procurement, factory acceptance testing, onsite startup and commissioning of the electrical, control systems, industrial network and SCADA system

  • This is a 24/7 running facility – the new plant had to be tied into a new utility service which was scheduled during plant maintenance downtime
  • There was urgency to get the work completed due to an oversight by the engineer of record on the project

Once design was completed ICS then acted as the procurement agent for all electrical distribution equipment. ICS built all the electrical and control systems enclosures as well as hosting a factory acceptance test. ICS was also the process control systems integrator for the SCADA system. ICS provided onsite functional testing, startup, and commissioning services for the project.

    Outline of Project:

    ICS worked with the Client in developing a plan to automate a new rail unloading / truck loading facility after the success with automating two of their production facilities. Once design was completed ICS then acted as the procurement agent for all electrical distribution equipment. ICS built a container-based E-House which held all the facility’s electrical distribution and control systems enclosures. ICS also hosting a factory acceptance test. ICS was the process control systems integrator for the SCADA system. ICS provided onsite functional testing, startup, and commissioning services for the project.

    The two following projects show collaborative work between ICS and Bombard Electric on projects based in Clark County, NV.

    Outline of Project:

    ICS worked with the Client in developing a systematic approach to testing all Electrical and controls equipment for the $1.5 billion-dollar SNWA – Lift 3 Pump Station project on Lake Mead in Nevada. Bombard Electric entrusted ICS with implementing the testing system and producing all supporting documentation including, check sheets, manufacturer functional analysis tests (FAT), finalized computer-aided drawings, and equipment sign-off sheets. After the testing folders were prepared and delivered to the jobsite, ICS provided onsite project management support to Client and sub-contractor. ICS ensured the completion of testing for 12 electrical systems with over 90 sub-systems per the design criteria established with the Client.

    Clark County/ ICS – Desert Inn & Twain Lift Station Upgrade, Las Vegas, NV

    Outline of Project:

    ICS worked with the Client in developing a new control system for two stormwater lift stations. ICS was tasked with designing, procuring, building, and performing the start-up and commissioning for the Desert Inn and Twain Lift Stations. The control systems included 2 upgraded PLC enclosures, remote-access, and full integration to the existing Motor Control Center at each location. ICS enlisted a local electrical contractor to mount the enclosures, re-route field wiring, terminate wires in the new enclosures, and fabricate the communication masts. After installation, ICS provided on-site start up and commissioning to ensure the control system satisfied all project goals. At project close, ICS provided training to Client staff, Operation and Maintenance manual, and finalized turn-over package.

    • Remote-Access to both Lift stations via cellular communication module
